William McCall Bridge

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, SR 209, Section 10 B, Carbon County, District 5

William McCall Bridge, a 16 span multi-type steel bridge located over the Lehigh River in Weissport PA. This project was a $13,000,000.00 million dollar project for Penn Dot District 5, The project was a high profile project for District 5, given the short window of 18 months to complete all the improvements, efficiently. The biggest obstacle for this project was scheduling our portion of the work (blasting and painting) around the other trades that were required to get there work completed, in a timely fashion. A-1 Industrial Maintenance Inc. was very responsive, to the other trades involved in this project, together we were able to compose a schedule along with a plan of attack and complete the project efficiently and successfully.
Rehabilitation work included: Hydro demolition of the existing concrete deck // Type 3 deck repairs // Latex modified concrete overlay // Replacement of all deck joints // Construct new approach slab at each approach // Cast new concrete diaphragms and back walls at the abutments // Remove and replace pier 4 // Install new scuppers // Install new diaphragms at piers 14 & 15 // Painting of all structural steel // Other miscellaneous construction actives.

Southerly W.W.T.P Cleveland Ohio Completed 2014-2015

Coating System:
Sherwin Williams General Polymers FasTop Moisture Control System at 1/8” thick, top coated with the Sherwin Williams Cor-Cote VEN FF Vinyl Ester Novolac applied at 60 mills dry.
Sherwin Williams FasTop Moisture Control System Uses:
Moisture vapor remediation // Underlayment for impermeable flooring systems // Repairs and levels deteriorated concrete
Sherwin Williams Cor-Cote VEN FF Flake Filled Vinyl Ester Novolac applied at 60-80 mills, is used as a coating/lining and as a topcoat for self-leveling, mortar and mortar laminate apllications. Will protect concrete and steel in immersion and atmospheric exposure in tank linings, secondary containment, and process flooring applications in various facilities, providing excellent performance in immersion service.
Uses:
Process Slabs // Tank Farm Floors // Chemical Loading and Unloading Areas // Spill Containment Areas
Product Advantages:
Excellent chemical resistance // High temperature resistance // Ambient cure or heated post-cure for enhanced performances // Enhanced edge protection

SR 222 Overpasses

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, SR 419 BR PM Over N.S. RR Lebanon Count, District 8

This project involved blasting and painting of all structural steel roughly 38,000 square feet, on two over passes RT 897 over SR 222 and RT 1086 over SR 222. For Penn Dot District 8. The project specifications required A-1 Industrial Maintenance Inc. to use a self-contained quick mobilizing unit capable of performing bridge painting in the areas of the SR 222 travel lanes. Long term lane closures of SR 222 were not permitted. A-1 Industrial Maintenance Inc. provided maintenance and protection of traffic during the construction of their work. A-1 Industrial Maintenance Inc. was very responsive to all involved in this project, together we were able to compose a schedule along with a plan of attack and complete the project efficiently and successfully.

A quick mobilizing method (rapid deployment) encompasses the total painting process and procedure whereby all coating work functions such as surface preparation, containment, dust collection, abrasive recycling, and coating application are fully contained on a single trailer mounted unit. The quick mobilizing system allowed us to minimize lane closures and traffic disruptions in off peak traffic periods while removing the existing paint by abrasive blast cleaning and then applying the three coat paint system.

SR 422-4TR

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, SR 422-4TR Montgomery County PA, District 6

The project specifications required A-1 Industrial Maintenance Inc. to use a self-contained quick mobilizing unit capable of performing bridge painting in the areas of the US 422 travel lanes. Long term lane closures were not permitted. A-1 Industrial Maintenance Inc. performed maintenance and protection of traffic during the construction of their work. This project was a high profile job for A-1 Industrial Maintenance Inc due to the heavy traffic and precautionary steps required not to interfere with local traffic. A-1 Industrial Maintenance Inc. was very responsive to all involved in this project.
